From the editor

A room becomes memorable when something within it has a point of view.

Maison Gatta approaches art as part of the architecture: not the final object added to a finished room, but the gesture that gives the room its rhythm, confidence and soul.

Each composition is imagined in conversation with light, material and scale. The result is a home that feels collected rather than decorated.

Study I · Scale as architecture

Chapter one · Scale

Let the work hold the wall.

Generous scale turns an artwork into atmosphere. It can anchor a pale room, sharpen an archway or create stillness in an open plan.

Editorial note — Large-format works are shown here at approximately 70 × 100 cm.

Colour study · A single interruption

“Not every room needs more. Sometimes it needs one thing with conviction.”

Chapter two · Rhythm

One work begins a sentence. Three create a conversation.

Repeated tones and changing marks allow a group of works to feel related without becoming identical. The eye travels; the room feels composed.
